I am an Assistant Professor of Writing and Rhetoric at the University of Rhode Island. Although I live in New England and previously spent six years in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois for graduate school, I feel forever linked to my desert hometown of Tucson, Arizona. I took the banner picture (that one up there with all the saquaros in the mountains) on a hike in Sabino Canyon during a visit home.
